Utilize meeting controls in your Zoom settings to minimize disruptions.
Disable "Join before host": Keep participants from entering a meeting before you start it.
Use meeting passcodes: Required to join.
Only allow authenticated users: Participants must be signed into their Zoom account with your school’s or company’s domain.
Disable screen sharing: Participants must ask permission to share.
Restrict annotation: Prevent annotation on shared content or display names of annotators.
Click the Security icon at the bottom of your meeting window to change permissions during the session.
Lock the door: No one can enter once session has started.
Waiting Room: New participants can be admitted on an individual basis mid-meeting.
Screen Sharing: Change individual screen share permission.
Chat: Disable chat between participants.
Mute: Participants cannot unmute or rename themselves.
You’re the moderator; you get to control your Zoom session. Click the Participants icon to:
Place participants in the Waiting Room (where you can readmit them).
Disable video for individual participants.
Mute all participants.
Remove participants from the meeting and restrict rejoining.
Do not share your Zoom Meeting ID or passcode on any public forum, including social media and your website. Meeting disruptors search the internet for publicly posted meeting IDs.
